book out! yay!!
extremely elated to book out so much earlier this week as my wing is conducting its e-learning exercise in preparation for our upcoming field camp, which allows us to go back home and study through the computer for the lessons that we will need.

that being said, the past few weeks inside camp has got me thinking about some stuff....
dunno how or why but it dawned on me at some moment in camp that all the things that we are learning or doing are actually in preparation of actually killing people in the event of war. The thought of actually killing another human being kinda makes it something to ponder about. In war, your enemy is just another person. But to his family friends and loved ones that he is protecting, he means everything to them. All it takes is 30cents for a bullet to take him away from them. What we are fighting for here is also for our loved ones. Does it make any sense to kill each other like that?

Scientists have been always coming out with newer gadgets. But what it actually means is to kill more people and more efficiently. Somehow the cycle never seems to end. War at this era would probably kill more people than all the previous world wars combined. Does it make the world a better place eventually when everyone is dead? We watched Hamburger Hill the other day as part of the lesson and one of the scenes showed the sergeant's good friend walking around with half his brain blown off and the rest of his friends dying around him. I can't imagine how i would feel if that would happen to my friends, nor would i ever want that to happen.

War... isn't a good thing.. my sensei used to say that is much harder to avoid a fight than to participate in one, and only fight if you must.

anyway, serious stuff aside... got informed recently that my wing will be having a social night event before we leave for our pro term, and that it is compulsory for us to bring a date for the event... thought intially had 8 months to find a date for comm ball man, then now so diao must already bring girl for wing social night lol. stunned. Qunfa needs a girlfriend, so does everyone lol.

That's true..
that it's harder to avoid a fight than get into one. Anyone can get into a fight, shit, children do everyday. It takes a real man to be able to keep his mouth shut when he knows he could still beat the shit out of the other guy, it takes a lot of self-control.

Indeed it does..
just like someone who can speak well doesn't mean he speaks all the time.

Bullets
Watch this show, lord or war, by nicholas cage. bloody brilliant. if they sold bullets at 500 bucks each heck no one will get killed "I shoot your ass down if i could afford it , you give me a few months i can take on a second job, get the wife and kids to chip in, and then you dead" or if you see a dead man on the street who was shot down multiple times you can think. "dang! that guy must have done somthing really wrong, cos theres like 10 thousand dollars of bullets in him" heck give the guns for free, bullets should be 500 bucks each. a magazine at over 10k now people will think twice. IRON CHEF ROCKS
