Happy Tree Friends - violence at its best Army Tank - waiting for its return Rock Paper Saddam - as the name suggests Weapons of Mass Destruction - self explanatory World Rally Championships | Hong Kong Wednesday, December 20, 2006 alright alright, i haven't been updating lately.. and must say it was for a good reason keke. SoOOOOoooo now i shall bore you guys with my very long entry on what i did in Hong Kong First of all, King Kong doesn't live in Hong Kong. My narrow perception of Hong kong before i went was all about streets, cops, gangs, and street gangs. Well, i was at least right about the streets and the cops part. They were all over the streets, maybe that's why i was disappointed not to find dudes with golden dragons on their backs View from the jetty of some part of Hong Kong.... ![]() Christmas decorations that beat the hell out of singapore malls. ![]() Boat ride from the city tour ![]() the repulse bay area where a lot of the celebrities live. Andy lau lives around there too! ![]() pretty interesting to have book dispensers. And apparantely, it's also much cheaper if you purchase from the machine, no middle man i guess... we lack tons of this stuff around here. ![]() over here we have a snoopy cafe, which i've never visited. Over there they have a charlie brown cafe, which i had a latte in. ![]() The streets of macau, less packed than hong kong needless to say. And sadly, can't find my gangs there. Although i did patronise the sands casino, which was my first time in a casino kekeke.... pretty cool place they got there, free drinks and all. I even played the roulette, definately stay at the sands next time, cos Wynn Resorts didn't even invite me over, and he's suppose to be my best friend boooo.. ![]() Went to sample portuguese cuisine over at macau, which wasn't too bad, curry crab and all. ![]() we also went to the disneyland, which were just nice having their 1st year anniversary, though not sure what else it entails beside having more snazzy plastic bags. The train that brought people over was pretty cool, nice details like this mickey handle and mickey shaped windows, even had disney figurines around the train. In time for the disney parade, not much to say, cept the dancers they used were mostly foreign, and looked pretty old. They kept repeating some song which i presume was the theme song for the park that keeps playing back over and over in my head now, its infectious, but i have no idea what the lyrics mean either. ![]() to be quite honest, i was disappointed with the size of the park. It only had 3 sections and a lot of the rides were 'kiddy' rides. the most thrilling ride there probably had to be the space mountain, which i thouroughly enjoyed, but still not scary enough for me to miss it, and im someone who gets scared easily. Second favourite ride was the buzz lightyear one (above), which was a ride cum game. But oh well, should have got suspicious when the ticket prices came out cheaper compared to other disney parks. We were staying at this hotel which for some strange reason decided to rent the bottom shops area to a freaking disco.... and all it did was went boom boom boom in the middle of the night, EVERY NIGHT! But thankfully, it takes a woman to 'negotiate' for a really really high level room otherwise i'd be having the boom booms to go with that dratted disney song. On the whole, the trip was quite alright, would have been more fun if i went with my friends, at least would have people to talk to. I must say, hong kong chicks are quite a pretty bunch. Didn't get to see any gang fights though, closest i got was the bunch hanging outside the hotel's disco. Also forgot to mention that i walked into a sign post which smacked my head pretty hard lol... typical of me, felt giddy for two days. aight, that's enough for one day, happy holidays everyone! 3 Comments. |
