Happy Good Friday
Thursday, April 5, 2007
I had visitors at my house yesterday. Initially i thought was some kids trying to sell me overpriced ice-cream or insurance. It turned out that the couple at my doorstep was going around sharing the gospel. Subsequently, we had a short discussion about the current state of our world, terrorism, and the end days and it kinda got me thinking again.

I believe in the book of revelations. And i believe that the signs are aplenty. Increasing turmoil and strife with almost no end in sight, our young grow up learning issues such as terrorism, bird flu, and violence. However, instead of feeling lost and helpless though sometimes i do, i am encouraged to see a greater sense of humanity. In fact, i think i try to be more optimistic. Sure, the 9/11 attacks were a horrific representation, but what moved me more was the rescue workers efforts; that belief that no one will be left behind. Remember the tsunami incident, remember also the help and aid that was given. I believe we shouldn't dwell all the issues that plague our lives, because they will only make us more cynical and fatigue us. Instead, draw strength from the positives. Courage, truth, sacrifice. These are some values that are so important but have been underplayed until recently. It's definitely not by chance that these events occur, but how we react to it can influence its eventual outcome. I am glad that we, as humans, are beginning to discover ourselves, our place in this world, and our place in God.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life."

I leave you guys with this wonderful music video by Grammy award winners Casting Crowns with "Who Am I". Happy Good Friday everyone.
