Manners
Tuesday, January 29, 2008
One thing i've realised, that as we progress more and more, we seem to lose our manners more and more as well.

I was at the public library this afternoon and its amazing how many people still choose not to silent their mobile phones when they enter. Not only that, i also suspect that they find it some sort of cheap thrill that they can get away with it by letting the ringtone go on so as to share with the public what marvelous taste in music they have.

Anyway, this behaviour shouldn't be new and it is also not just limited to the library. The courtesy campaign is still very much alive and i guess there's enough reason to carry on. As much as i would like to rattle on about the other lack of politeness or courtesy amongst our population, my guess is that everyone by now would have enough stories and experience. Thus i should just end off here by urging everyone to be more civil... please? oh well, at least just keep your ringtones to yourself in the library alright? Much appreciated =)

hahaha. not only in the library in cinema too. how annoying. and if some people would like to publicize their music taste, i'm not impress.

definitely!!! gosh you'd imagine after watching so many trailers of them telling you to silent the phone, people actually would remember but there's always this one person that doesn't!

ugh i totally know what you mean!
especially at church/fellowship (i'm a Christian, so we meet up on friday evenings for bible study/fellowship too) during the sermon and quite discussion/prayer... i dno if it'll mean anything to you at all, but yeah... i find it really, REALLY rude... and whats worse is if the tone that goes off is one of those really annoying nokia-theme tone or something grrr +_+;;

quite right, although have no comment abt other public places..but the least one could do is to silent their phones in cinemas and libraries..i feel like reaching over and strangling the retard who's phone suddenly goes off during a show.
