why is it harder to forgive ourselves than it is to forgive others?

Sometimes when it rains, it pours.
If you look carefully enough, sometimes you may spot a boy holding an umbrella standing in the rain.
Somehow, the rain never ends.
The sun merely blocks out the droplets of water.
He holds a lollipop now.
Or is it?

update
Thursday, June 26, 2008
hi guys!

i know i haven't been updating faithfully as before, lack motivation because i realise nobody actually reads this page? ah perhaps.

anyways, it's about mid way through the holidays and yup as mentioned in my previous post im working in some media related company. Has a bit of a learning curve as i have no prior technical proficiencies in this field. Lots of button pressing, lots of tv monitors, but great time thus far. Get to watch a fair bit of programs here and there, occasionally seeing Mtv VJs walking around (no luck with the photos yet though).

Other than work, don't really have much energy to do much else lately with the Euro cup on most nights. But still, waking up like army timing for my morning shifts can be difficult for this sleepyhead. Then again, heard next month i'll have to do afternoon and night shifts, not sure how that will pan out, not too scary i hope, as i heard stories of quite a few "sightings".

Oh.. and i'll be around next semester after all. The good people in Italy who are giving me money thought it'll be a waste if i went for such a short time, and thanks to them and the school, they have more or less confirmed that they will be switching me to go next year instead. That way, i'll get to stay a bit longer and the weather will be much more forgiving.

till the next update, and to whoever that still reads my blog, cheers :)

Revelations
Thursday, May 15, 2008
you know singapore is so small, you just never really know if the person you see everyday might be your relative or somehow related to you.

uncanny...

i found out something interesting today. well, dunno how to put it, not quite a star wars "i am your father" type of seriousness, but it just feels nice having another nice person to be related to.

in fact, i may just be your distant cousin haha

Ever wished when you were a kid that when you grow up, you could make a living just by watching television? Well, that's kinda how I describe my holiday job hee hee.

Don't know how much i can talk about it, but i must say that it is quite enjoyable there and got tons to monitors to look at, watch new shows that have yet to come out (for quality control purposes!) and best of all, getting paid much higher than i would be slogging as an intern or another part time elsewhere. God is good!!

sauuusaage macgriddles
Sunday, May 11, 2008
Yay, after like 2 weeks of waiting, i finally got to try the new sausage macgriddles from macdonalds. It's suppose to be like regular sausage macmuffins but this time, it comes with maple syrup infused buns!! Sounded so irresistible that i simply had to try it.

also had the opportunity to meet up with le Roy and Yan for breakfast, after so long of not meeting. Had a lot of interesting discussions as usual, dunno why we often get very philosophical, could be the free time haha. We rounded it off with some mario kart fun too.

Back to the burger.. well... the verdict is... it's alright i guess. I took their advice to have it without cheese, worked out pretty well. According to them, the cheese makes it taste weird, so there's the tip for ya if you want to try.

in the meantime, you can always check out the macdonalds game that lumzy showed us, i guarantee its fun :)

more harm than good?
Saturday, May 10, 2008
i tried my first massage today: a back and shoulder massage at this place called Wang Yang, quite a few outlets around. And no, it's not those sleazy type with the darkened windows...

The place was brightly lit and had plenty of people, and apparently due to the new regulations, that meant no partitions too. So that means it was just one big hall like place and people were having their feet, shoulder, etc massaged altogether, no privacy at all.. duhz

So anyway i had to lie face down into this weird contraption and it had a hole so i don't suffocate. Before i went i had expected the experience to be more of the relaxing type like those you get in the hair salons, but boy was i wrong. The dude then went on to prod and poke my back, shoulders and skull. At one point i almost felt like he was trying to dislodge my skull from the neck!! After that the alternated between pushing my head into the cushion and elbowing my shoulder plates (which hurt too)... I just couldn't wait for it to end... Well i guess it may have been slightly better if i told him to use less force. But seeing nobody complained or anything, i thought it was just part of the process that i should stick it up like a guy should... could be stupidity on my part too.

When it finally ended, he was nice enough to offer me some water but then went on to hard sell me on some magnetic belt because he said i had a lot of toxins which was evident from me sweating during the massage (i have high metabolism!). The belt had two versions, one like 70+ and another 200+... i was thinking like: dude that hurt so bad, why do i want to pay you somemore! and a magnetic belt that what, draws some electrons from some mysterious part of my body and it sounds like a sham... needless to say, i hightailed outta there.... never knew real massage suppose to be this painful, if they told me i should have just done more wrestling, at least it'll be more fun getting hurt.
